office timing in qatar

Please tell me about the office timing as per the Qatar law.because i heard that only up to 8pm at office.

my office timing is changed to 8am to 1pm and 3.30pm to 8.15pm.our previous timing was 8am to 1pm and 3pm to 7.45pm.Employees in our company is not satisfied in change of timing,they did't inform us before as change start from today.so please help us to defend against this change in the words of Qatar law

As per Article 73 of Qatar Labor Law:

The maximum work hours are 48 hours per week or, eight hours per day during all months of the year, except during the Holy Month of Ramadan, during which it will be reduced to 36 hours per week or six hours daily. The time spent on transport between residence and work will not be calculated. Work hours shall include one or more intervals for prayers, meals and rest and shall not be less than one hour and not more than three hours. These periods shall not be calculated within duty timings. The employee shall not work continually for more than five hours, without rest.

For work that requires continuously without rest, a Ministerial Decision will be issued.

As far as I know, there is no law for timings, but only hours of work should be 8 hours for the workers in normal days and 6 hours in Ramadan. But still in most cases it depends on your agreement with the company.
