Extending visit visa

My wife & 2 kids are on visit visa & they will be completing 6 months on september.Can we extend the visa & for how many months can we extend it.kindly tel the procedures.

just to give you an info based on my experience, I just extended my visa of my son a week ago for another month, he is on his 6 months now on August 19, so for me they allowed another month , they required a travel ticket going home on the date of the extension like I bought a ticket for September 19. Bring the ticket along with the extension form.
in other words, they will have to leave in September. tough I know, I have been doing this with my husband and son for the past 2 years. here for 6, gone for 3 months at a time.
You can only extend it for a maximum of 6 months then they will have to leave for 3 months before you can reapply for them to come back over.
