Have anyone bought a used car by bank loan from a person??

i would like to buy a prado 2007 model from my friend through bank loan...what are the procedures? the bank people said i need to get a quotation from an approved showroom for the bank loan,as they wont pay directly to my friend. also the car has to be minimum 2007 model...still something isnt clear...the bank will pay to the showroom from where i made the quotation and the showroom will pay the cheque to my friend...is there anyone who have done it here?? please reply...thanks in advance...
