Family Visa for US employees at Al Udeid AB
This question is only for US Contractor personnel working on Al Udeid AB, if you need to ask where or what that is then you cannot answer this question!
What are the steps you went thru to bring your wife and kids over?
Is there anyone (office) on base that can assist?
Here is why I ask, in the requirements for the visa they want:
Application Form, I know it’s in Arabic but not a real problem.
Passport copies, ok got it.
RP and work visa, ok got it.
Salary requirements Qr 7500, not a problem. Sponsor will do the letter.
Housing requirements, Sponsor will do the letter, stating I have rented an apartment and I have a copy of the lease.
Marriage and birth certificates have original documents, do I need to go by the embassy and have them verified as originals?
Here is where it gets tricky, Bank statements; I can get an official statement from my US banks showing salary deposits for the last 6 months. Will this work?
Do any of you have a checking accounts here, HSBC told me: I cannot open an account without salary transfer. I am awaiting a response from my company as to if it is possible to transfer a portion of my salary here for this purpose.
Regarding the very last bit ... Do you NEED a checking account - i.e. to you need to issue checks? If not just go for a regular savings account.
