Hi everybody out there,
Any body travelled to Doha to Kochi-India by Air India Express, how is the cargo handling at airports ie Doha and Kochi? If I carry a LCD TV, the Cargo people really handle the luggage very carefully if the item is fragile? share your experience or if any tips for additional packing for the LCD tv.
Thanks

first and foremost, Airline don’t handle the baggage nor the cargo. it’s the Airport ground staff do them. So the handling part depends on the airport and individual. regarding the LCD TV. the TV is relatively packed well (original pack), and you may request the airline or yourself stick the sticker which reads Fragile (might help). and those handling hopefully handle it carefully. all the best.

Tips for your cargo...Use a little bigger size carton box for your LCD. Wrapped your LCD with blanket. Place it in side the box in vertical position and put some clothings around it . Do not leave a void/space for your LCD to move. Close the box and place your notation "Fragile GLASS" be careful and also the arrow pointing it on the standing position. Then tie it with rope all around. The rope will be use as lifting handle of the cargo guys.
