Any one travelled from Qatar-Dubai with cat?
I'm traveling to Dubai , i need to take my cat along with me. Can anyone help me in this. I contacted Qatar Pet Relocator, through mail, call but no proper response to my query.they just say that they'll mail me back but till date I haven't received any mail from them. Please help if you have personal experience in taking your cat to dubai.
Travelling to Dubai is fairly easy. Cats must travel as manifest cargo so it's easiest to do it through a relocator as they will need to be booked as cargo and checked in at the cargo section of the airport. It will need to be fully vaccinated and micro-chipped and have both an import permit and an export permit. What kind of cat is it? If it is a persian or persian mix or any other cat with a flattish face then it can not travel on Qatar Airways or Emirates. You will need to arrange for someone to get an import permit it Dubai on your behalf. I think Qatar Pet Relocators usually works with Brit Vets or DKC (but they are more expensive). It would need to fly on a night flight as the temperatures during the day are too high for an animal to be on the tarmac (and with all the best will in the world it will still be outside for some time).
Vaniza999 - this is the busiest time of year for pet relocators so please cut them some slack if they don't get back to you the second you email them.
