I arrived Qatar beginning of this month and today only i received my RP. I want to bring my family urgently, so that my kids can join school (its already started). But I heard, they need 3months bank statements to apply for the family visa. Is it true??
If I bring them on visit visa, then kids can get admission in school. Please reply.

I came in Qatar in Dec.2009 and i brought my family in Jan '10 within a month of my arrival. All I have given to the HR is attested copies birth/marriage certificates, degree certificate and there was no bank statement as it was not even one month. So, i beleive its not a "Strict" requirement evnthough thats the rule.

you need bank statement if you're getting them an RP.. however, visit visa does not require bank statements..

Bring your family on a visit visa, and get their medical done, and get their visa extended for 5 months, and request the school administration to let the children attend the classes...

Yes, you need to produce atleast 3 months bank statement for family resident visa but you can bring them with visit visa. However, I think resident visa is required for school admissions.
