i am a mechanical engineer.i was been working with a private firm in qatar.unfortunately today i got a termination letter from the company with a one month notice.i have just completed 7 1/2 months in this company.they promised me that they will provide an NOC for me on request.is it possible for me to join another company in qatar with this NOC.i heard that we must have completed 1 year inorder to tarnsfer or cancell the visa.so is ter any way for me to continue work in qatar.anyone please guide me to get a solution for this.it will much greatfull for me.let god bless u all.

that's right, normally you have to complete 1 year with the same sponsor before you will be able to transfer your sponsorship.. this is normally.. but, hey, there are always exceptions..another option is outsourcing. You still can stay under your current company (of course if they agree) for few months, until 1 year is completed, which is not too long, considering you are already 7,5 month+ 1 month notics, which makes 8,5 months. If your sponsor agreed, he can easily wait another 3-4 month and in the meanwhile let you find another job, and start transferring..

As far as i know,if ur ex-employer will issue NOC to u, u can work freely with any other company in DOHA..Wait for other QLers to respond u..
