Alcohol - The leading killer

stealth
By stealth

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that over 2.5 million people across the world die from alcohol-related issues annually. The leading health authority also said that alcohol is now the leading killer worldwide.

The WHO also said that some 320,000 people of the 2.5 million are between 15 and 29 years of age. These numbers are alarming and have now prompted the 193-member WHO to pass a resolution that focuses on the harmful effects of alcohol.

Nowhere near as much as QDC raised the prices in Qatar!

By britexpat• 25 May 2010 22:41

Brits are raising the price because it generates extra taxes for the government.

Rishi sorry couldnt join you guys last thursday...

Rishi when is the PARTY?

You have at least to give one week advance notice.

Maybe this Thursday we can crash into drmana's house...lol

By Mehnis• 25 May 2010 21:16
Mehnis

Yes Rishi. I always see him jump to react to stupidity and comments from people suffering from deficiencies and disorders. He can never relax and ignore to wait it out. Because ultimately they will prove what they are. Unfortunately WK just does not give them that chance to credit themselves.

By anonymous• 25 May 2010 21:12
anonymous

Well let's just say I made 5,750 comments with one id before it got banned and all 5,750 comments were under the influence of liquor :-P

Used to QL only during evenings that time.

By anonymous• 25 May 2010 21:12
anonymous

i presume so..mehnis.

By Mehnis• 25 May 2010 21:08
Mehnis

I can presume what had probably transpired those 'several months' back. The gentleman WK would have turned into an executioner with plain truths and caustic remarks. You can never suffer fools can you?? Sober you will ignore but otherwise you would read the riot act to them

By anonymous• 25 May 2010 21:04
anonymous

Naah it's been several months since I did QLing with a glass in hand. I don't drink at home anymore.

By anonymous• 25 May 2010 21:03

anytime drmana..we will bring some sugar cubes in our pockets...to make the water sweet..:)

By Mehnis• 25 May 2010 21:03

By anonymous• 25 May 2010 20:59

Ofcourse Mehnis. Even tonight, I am so tempted to go for a beer, taking amazing willpower to hold myself. Maybe that's why no creativity in comments tonight :(

drmana, you can invite us for a glass of water...i am sure nobody is gonna challenge you on that.

its time you invite us any of these days for real and prove yourself..:)

we promise, we will not speak out if its not to our taste.

Mehnis

Hey Rishi--Birthday again?? I thought I had wished a week or so earlier. Never mind, no sweat for doing it twice. Best wishes are always there for you.

Happy Birthday and wishing you plenty of happiness, joy, success and fulfillment in the year ahead and for many many years to come.

BTW-- Be careful of the what you see and perceive because

Reality is just an illusion caused by alcohol deficiency. Cheers.

Actually Victory, it's much easier to feed the 36 Million because they don't need to be encouraged to eat while the Alcoholics have to be given treatment and motivation to quit which doesn't always work I don't think they will need any motivational tools to encourage someone dying of hunger to eat.
