Al Shaher cargo- Deal at your own risk!

Dear All,
This is an advice to all the kabayans, who are planning to use the services of Al Shaher Cargo to send boxes from Doha to Manila. I had an experience, which i think should be shared, so noone else has to face a similar situation. I had sent 2 boxes in cargo during last week of march, with an assurance it will reach in 45 days. One box arrived pretty much within 45 days, and when the 2nd box did not reach until today, I had to speak with them. Their manager, or someone by name Jochen handled the call. His reply, count 45 days from the day the cargo was loaded, which was april 3. His attitude was simply disgusting, no customer service, no courtesy, no apologies, no commitment, no professionalism, no ethics, the list could go on and on. Until today the box has not reached, but i would strongly recommend not to use Al Shaher cargo services. Deal with them at your own risk and be prepared to face the attitude if you still have to deal with them. Cheers, and have a great day!

Well, after all that hassle, I tried Coronel (or called something similar) cargo service. Located near souq, old city center. As i said, the guy was a gentleman, and i did not have to do even a single follow up as the boxes arrived way ahead of time. Though i am posting this late, but it was a pleasant experience for me to deal with them.

Nag-umpisa ako mag-follow up after 1 month.

You are right there! Seemed like all the comments were created to conceal the real picture of the situation. It's evident to note that somebody out there (maybe one of their staff) is trying to defend and cover their mistakes by hurling those kinds of stupid counter comments. Poor Shaher.....

I am calling everyone to dispense or disseminate this information to all. You would be doing your fellow shipper a great help. Boycott Shaher Express Cargo!

Trico has an office in Doha located in Souq Najada. I checked with them about their BOX prices compared to Shaher and found out they are a lot cheaper and bigger boxes. So why would I send my cargo to Shaher when they are just co-loading with Trico? Trico International is much bigger than Shaher. It has several branches in the middle east and some parts of the world. I think it's better to send cargo using Trico!

I just noticed this thread yet again when i had to send another cargo. Got the translation for the comments, and on further observation i realised that these accounts were just created to provide racist comments. Guys, everyone faces issues with service providers and it is better to be highlighted, than being defensive about it. Ignore such racist comments, and trust your guts. Oh, by the way, I am trying a new service this time (it's christmas time and lot of stuff to be sent for the loving barangay :)). The guy i met was a gentleman, service with smile. Will update with the company name with regards to service in 60 days :). Have a great day ahead!

The only problem with Shaher is their promo items which are not given immediately by the driver when you send your cargo. You have to get it from their office and if you go there you will find out that the stocks are out and you will have to go back again to get their MOST treasured gift aways. Naahhh, it disgusts me when I went there to claim my suppose 10-pcs mugs according to the guys there they will call me as soon as the supplier delivers the mugs. Until now its been almost 3 week i receive no advise. My friends here also are waiting for the availability but no words from them yet. But generally speaking the service is good and people there are very nice. I hope they can improve or support whatever promos they have in the future.

Thank you for your comments, but I am not a filipino, neither can i understand what you guys are trying to say. Perhaps since i was speaking in english with the guy at shaher cargo, he was getting "nose-bleed" as you guys say! They themselves admit that cargo will be delivered within 60days, eventhough we are past that period. Anyhow, this is my personal experience and it may not be applicable to any of you shaher employees (tsk tsk). You dont have to get this defensive, and need to accept such incidents gracefully and professionally. I have found better companies, who know how to deal with customers, and i guess will stick on to them. As for me, i boycott Al Shaher cargo service, and as i said, deal at your own risk. Have a nice day!

Ok?

Al Shaher was introduced to me by my flatmates who, for several years now have tried the services of this cargo company. Should they have complaints, they would have not referred this cargo company to me. Mind you, I have tried almost all other cargo companies here and most of them have given me headaches and troubles. Most of them have little or have no idea at all on how to deal with customers. But my experiences with Al Shaher were great! All the dates they have committed that my cargo will reach destination were met. The people who answer inquiries are very respectful and accommodating as well. They make you feel like you are a very important customer and you can feel their sincerity when they speak to you.

Let's admit it, sometimes when our expectations are not met, we become disappointed and easily become frustrated as well. We immediately call and confront the service provider and demand for an explanation. We normally become irritable and refuse to accept explanation. It's a human factor.

It is not fair to say though that because of that (isolated) incident you are advising others to transfer or boycott them. If a customer wishes to have his cargo delivered immediately he must use a courier who charges 100 times a cargo company collects.

@ Pirate: LOLZ

@ Ruth: If the cargo reaches on time / schedule, it is ok. If not, then you are in for an uncourteous treatment. The guy said to me that the scheduled arrival date is May 05th (mind you, send on March 27th). I was calling on May 15th, and he still insisted on May 05th. Was he disillusioned, or dis-oriented, I have no clue. As i said, deal with them at ur own risk. As for me, i would look for alternatives.
