Hi, I am going to Doha for a week. What would you suggest to see and do? I like to enjoy the cusine of the country, where would you suggest to go? I do not like to go to tourist places I would prefer to go somewhere where I can enjoy real food, real places!
Any rules I should follow while I am there, behaviour, clothes? Any places to avoid? Many thanks. Fresa

Real places is where local people go and real food is what local people eat...most of the time if not all the time the quality of food made in expensive restaurants for tourist has nothing or just very little to do with food local people eat. So what I am looking for is a good place to eat what local people know about but tourist do not have a clue...thanks for any ideas.

Don't expect to find traditional Qatari food there, but there are some decent (if overpriced) restaurants.

you can visit souq waqif the traditional souq of Doha, you will find the arabic cusine and culture there, you can also visit Qatar islamic museum.

Dont wear too short or too revealing clothes....Its better to cover your knees and shoulders...
