it's a completely free and funny hobby.. also it's sooo relaxing..

Sorry I've been away for a while..I did spend the last week doing some of the stuff you suggested.. I really, REALLY enjoyed.. I prepared a feast tonight it was so much fun with the family and all.. I'll post pictures in my blog when I have time.. I also joined snail mail communities and got some penpals yay.. I got excited.. If I have time I'll blog about what I'm doing these days.. I feel really good..

BTW Guys.. It's not that I'm bored or that I have too much free time.. I organize my time well.. and I don't sleep much so I have longer days.. I felt the neeed of doing something new for fun..

You have a loooot of feedback here and a lot of ideas, but you still sound like you havent decided on anything just yet.

So, instead of being jealous about your husband, why not ask him to teach you about his hobbies? This of course depends on what his hobbies are. But if they can include a partner/woman then why not learn about the things that he is passionate about? I am not suggesting you make an effort to be passionate about the same things, but why not satisfy your curiosity and see where it goes? Perhaps one day you will be better at it than him... and of course there is the added bonus of spending even more quality time with him!

Wellll dear… writing (in Arabic mainly) had always been my thing ( poetry, short stories..you name it!).. I know I'm good at it.. Thanks God.. I actually did publish few peaces of my work here and there and had won few writing competitions.. I know this is something I'm good at.. I was hoping for doing something totally else.. but you know what.. you are so right.. I should work on what I'm already good at.. ((( especially that I don't write as often as I should ))).. Its hard to tell others about what hobby they should adopt coz its always inner voice which one follows. I had great interest in embroidery, sewing, Decoration, Beautician, make each and every broken piece beautiful but after marriage and kids i got distracted with my hobbies. now i have a lot of time i am putting my ideas on paper and thinking how to accomplish them, some times empty mind thinks a lot best thing u can do is List your interests in then how much time u can give it each day that will be one step to take soon the interesting things will become your passion then your hobby : )

How about scrapbooking? It is a great way to organize pictures, allows you to be very creative with your layouts and you preserve your memories.

Are you artistic? Explore new art media, use mixed media - for example adding pieces of magazine or newspaper into a painting...

yeah I know I should try something new.. you know most activities I used to do are intellectual that involve lots of reading and researching and writing..etc.. I did well.. Now I just feel that my brain is exhausted because of my work too ( Translation!).. So I do feel like I need a break from words.. Photography sounds like a great idea! I've been in your situation many times before, but have become an expert now, once I've started to sense I'm going to get bored, I take up something new and challenging.

Since I know you're relatively new in the workforce, I can only advise you to take self-help/improvement courses. They're not only fun and meaningful for yourself and career, but you get to socialize and meet nice decent people too.

Thanks a lot.. I'll put your suggestionS into consideration :-) You REALLY got me thinking there.. The past feels like it happened loooong time ago.. Believe it or not I find hard time remembering the person I were.. I was fun to be around.. Now I'm like "different" you know.. I'm so quiet haha.. I need an inspiration to do a new thing and be (((passionate))) about it.. By the way, I'm not into sports.. I'm leaning towards girly stuff that doesn't involves building muscles or sweating haha.. But I'm open to all new ideas now.. maybe a new sport is what I need.. I'll keep an open-mind..

Look at what you have really enjoyed doing in the past. Something that you might have forgotten/ignored due to other important committments. Musical Instruments fall in this category often. Look at Social Initiatives/Work. Being a Qatari you are better positioned to take up the social cause on a number of issues here.

Painting,sketching,drawing etc are also good hobbies so are sculpting,weaving,pottery. It really depends on the person's interests.
