So i'm quite new to this forum and won't be in Doha for another few weeks, but I'm gathering that meeting ppl (or maybe establishing friendships?) there is quite difficult...as someone who hopes to spend a few years there ideally and make it my "home", i'm wondering how you all do that? How does one meet new ppl there other than through work and/or sleezy bar pick ups (lol)? And to follow that up- how IS the "nitelife there? If perhaps there was a ranking of saudi being 0 and Dubai a 10? I know better than to expect a 10 but i've heard all types of stories (dominated by the words "dead" and "sandpit" lol)...thanks guys and hope to meet you all in the future! :)

Welcome to doha people here are good but be careful while making friendship as lots fake people exist here who just want to make a timepass i hope you understand what i mean ,but otherwise this city is safe for womens i must say .
Nightlife compared to Dubai being 10 I would say 5, again you have to know the places to go to on a Thursday night! (Thursday night is the start of the weekend here)
