If i upgrade my iPhone software version from 2.xx.xx to 3.1.3 , all my saved data will be erased or not??

Hello friends,

I just want to upgrade my iphone OS version from 2.xx to 3.13 through iTunes 9.2... if i do so, is there any chance of getting my mobile data erased like contacts, messages, installed applications etc.,

Kindly tell me who did this before, coz i have very important data in it and i dont wanna loose it..

You should back up all data before upgrading. iTunes usually does this automatically before installing upgrades.

Saw a question by you a while ago guess the mods deleted it.

your iphone 2G got locked.

so download 3.1.2 firmware from net and then download redsn0w 0.9.4 i think and get it unlocked and you can add third party application too.

To be safe, I would Sync your iPhone with iTunes on your computer. Everything should then be backed up on your PC / laptop.
