visit visa for mum
Hi,
I would like my mother to come visit me in Qatar for my delivery. She holds an Indian passport and is 63 yrs old.
I understand I will have to go to meet a senior officer at the immigration office for approval.
However I wanted to know whether I had to take a copy of my marriage certificate which is attested by the Indian embassy and ministry of external affairs or a non attested copy would do?
Any advice would be geatly appreciated
Thank you all for your replies.
Yes my husband will be applying for my mums visa.
I have all the necesary paper work ready however the PRO at his office said that our marriage certificate copy had to be attested by the Indian embassy and ministry of external affairs.
My mum has visited us in Qatar before but we didn't require attested copies then. I was just wondering if it was a new rule or something?
NOT A BIG ISSUE.
I advise, it's better if your husband sponsor her. Following documents should be ready with you.
1. You need a letter from your HR (if your husband is going to sponsor ask him to get one from his office for mother-in-law)
2. Copies of your/your husbands (better to keep both) ID, Birth certificates, Marriage Certificates, Passport copies of your mother and you.
Prodcedure:
1. You go to Immigration Office in Gharafa.
2. There are so many typist and you need to get typed the application in arabic by one of them. They will charge you QR 5/-
3. Then you go to counter no 4. Once you get your turn go to the counter and provide your documents. As your mother is above 60, most probably you will need to see the officer in upstairs (2nd floor). The counter staff will put some comments your application and will direct you to the officer.
4. Go there and meet him he will consider you application and sign it.
5. You pay visa fees and within 2-3 days you will get the visa.
Best luck.
no need all of this only wt u need salary stetment from ur comp and u can have the via
No Hani, Your Idea is also Correct but its will cost more & She Mentioned in the Question that she want to bring her Mother for Some Emergency Purpose. So there should be a long procedure after that to renew the Visa & all other thing.Their Mum should be stay at least 2-3 Month Or More So she should apply for visit Visa in the Migration Directly.

No Bu Meshal, its not an official procedure. but the HR can definitely guide you or help you.
for applying for the visit visa, you dont need the attested copies, however you never know what are the things they ask.
i applied for my mothers visa yesterday, but they wanted me to attach my wife's id copy also, i dunno for what.
the general requirement is the application form, your passport and id copy, your mothers passport copy and your husbands passport and id copy.
also you need a letter from your company.
If you are an employee All you have to do to inform your department or your H.R. to arrange for you all the documents required it’s an official procedures.
