Is there any speech-language pathologist
Good mooring
i have a lisp in "R"
And my questions is how I cure my lisp, is there any hope.
I'm 21 years old,and i started work and its annoying me and make me very shy and little speaking, which make me not able to continue with this stress every moment.
so if some one know any therapist or speech-language pathologist tell me the address, email or phone
or if some one can help me to treat it, I would be delighted.
Thanks.

We are bringing a speech language pathologist to Doha soon to provide comprehensive speech assessments for interested families. Our therapist able to perform both english speaking and bilingual assessments (spanish) for students of all ages and degrees of ability/need. Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling an assessment. We are also able to bring psychologists and occupational therapists as well. Our BCBA (ABA specialist) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders is also planning a return trip for assessment. Please contact me for further information. Please email [email protected].
On a similar note, Doha Mums is reaching out to the community of parents who have kids with special needs - dyslexia, Downs Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, oral dyspraxia and whatever else - with a new support group, called Out of Sync.
We're just getting started, but we're looking for both the parents of these kids and professionals who serve them. We will have informal get-togethers where parents can offer support and exchange info on those hard-to-find resources; we'll also invite speakers on topics such as speech & language delays, early signs of autism and how to advocate for your child.
To sign up for our distribution list please send an email to [email protected]
Hello-
I just saw your post from January. My colleague and I are now bringing assessment services (psych, speech, OT, PT, neuropsych, etc) and ABA/Autism treatment to Doha. I would love to hear if you found any local resources. We are going to be in Doha on Monday and Tuesday, on our way to Kathmandu for a conference (NESA), and have some meetings planned to discuss the need for autism services in the area, amongst other needs.
I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me.....

I am a speech language pathologist and although i am not affiliated with any clinic or hospital in Doha, I am willing to provide treatment for your "Misarticulation of R".Lisping occurs only for sounds "S" and "Z".If you require therapy please contact me at [email protected]
Noticed it that some people pronounce the letter 'r' as 'w'. Nothing 'wong' with it. And just like some folks here pronouncing 'w' as 'v'. V are the vorld. Ah well, we all have our own unique way of pronouncing some letters. =)
Are you really Argentinian?
Does this effect you when you speak Spanish and English or only one of the languages?
I imagine that with 'r' and 'rr' in Spanish then this would have a big impact on your speech..
Good luck getting help... and in the meantime don't get shy - anybody laughs... just tell me and I will come and hit them with a wooden spoon. :)
I don't think there is a child psychologist in Rumailah hospital, you can inquire, from C ring, turn left at hamad signal and u turn at mannai r/a
"we share the same biology regardless of our ideology..."
Rumailah has out patient clinics for speech problems, check it out
"we share the same biology regardless of our ideology..."
I want to help you more but unfortunately am not in any way affiliated with Rumailah Hospital. I just know a few people there. I think you can start inquiring thru the numbers I have provided. =)
Hi there, I just read your suggestion about Rumailah Hospital and I am looking for a qualified Psychologist who could make Diagnostics for special needs students. I am working in a school and I have 3 specials needs students although not offically diagnosed. Parent would like to get in touch with a professional and I am trying to help them. Do you know if at Rumailah Hospital they have any Child Psychologists? What is the exact location of this hospital? All the information you can provide will be very welcome.
Thanks
