My family Visa (under husband's sponsorship) expired on 1-1-10 and i was not able to re-enter the country so my husband cancelled my visa. Can he re-apply for new one for me and for our newborn daughter?

If your visa is expired again you have to go through all procedures which your PRO can help you. But it's a painful job, why you have not renewed before expiry, prevention is always better than cure.

If ur visa expired while u were outside the country can't be re-instated.

There is nothing called xxl the visa as it expires automatically if the date laps while outside.

Ur spouse can apply again for a new visa and must go through the full procedure again.

Yes, he can apply again for you.. If you have a valid RP there is no visa need for your new born child if he/she is entering within 3 months from the date of birth.

Just tell your husband to apply again how he applied earlier to get visa for you. He should mentioned your ID number in new application.

Given that you are out of the country at the time of your visa's expiry, your husband has to pay an additional charge to enable him to renew your visa, which was Qrs 500/= before. Since it has expired only recently, there is a grace period of 1 month with no penalty, but the question is why did he have to cancel your visa when you could have returned to Doha before it expired... such issues would have been avoided if you were here before your visa expired.
