CID - Labour Stage in QATAR
By hussain1982 •
I would like to know about CID & labour stage & process, I am Bahraini so I am from GCC & I don't need for visa , but I got a police clearance after a long steps & attested for my police clearance, now my employer said I need to wait for labour approval, actually I would like to know if there is a any necessary documents I need to attested in my home country like the educations certificates, or its not necessary the copy will be acceptable ? I am worry about this thing because the attested for certificates in Bahrain will take a long time in higher education first then the ministry of foreign affairs , any body have an idea about this step ?
From what I've heard, if you are married and intend to sponsor someone (like the wife or kids - if any) then you'll need the educational documents to have gone through the chain authentication process.
I changed jobs just a month ago and all they asked was just a copy of the educational certificate.
The labor dept will do all the required verification.
Thank you for your reply jasmine & alfredg, actually the HR in the bank was told me before to translate my certificate & I did that in my home country but in the privet office, but after that they said no need for translation , they said English certificate will be enough, but I don't know now I am worry about that maybe the labour department will reject my application regarding that, and also I am in Bahrain now & the bank will send my application to ministry of labour, but in your experience, I would like to know about the attested from ministry of foreign affairs for the certification, I would like to know about this point if it's necessary for labour approval or not.
better ask the immigration about this matter
The current time is 2 weeks, if you went, for example, on a Thursday, you should expect to hear on the Thursday 2 weeks from then. My current experienceis that that are working within this at the moment.
If you have a degree certificate, if it is not in Arabic it is a good idea to have it translated but you have to use a government approved translator, ask your company who they use. All of the translators are in the Sofitel building but it is quite expensive.
Thank you for your reply dear,
but my position is in the bank & I gave the bank attested certification but it was attested from the university only, the HR in the bank was accepted that but I am not sure regarding the ministry of labour about the labour approval if they will accept that or if they need attested from embassy & ministry of foreign affairs also, because in this case I will delay! That is way I hope they accept the copy of certification but I am not sure !
Depends on the firm you are joining. Ask the HR dept of that firm and they should know.
The firm that I joined recently (with about 1500+ employees) asked only for a plain copy of my educational certificates.
