Karwa Driver hit a pasenger ...
Hi all Qls,
One strange and a hero like thing happened today when I return to office after my lunch break.
I used to travel by bus. There are lots of illegal things doing by these Karwa bus drivers. Some of them are,
• They take the Tickets from the getting down passengers and giving back to a new passenger getting in. and then that 3QR will be going to Driver’s pocket.
• They stop very far from the bus stop and all should run to the bus. If even an old person walked the driver will take the bus and go without waiting. And stop far away from the bus stop and need to get down and walk more.
• They treat labors very badly. Mostly by without stop the bus or may be not stopping in the correct bus stop.
These are some of the things they do regularly, commonly and publicly. May be not all the drivers doing this. There are good once too. But few. Most of them are doing all these without thinking from the side of Labors. How hard they work and how tired they are after work. I think all of you can understand how tired they are… and working long hours and for less salary than all of us….
What happened today was:
A person got in to the bus (Bus No: 726[I guess because it was displayed on the back of the bus] and RN: 33 at around 2:50pm on 10-12-2009) from Al Aziziya and gave money. The driver gave him and old ticket. That person took it with a worried face and sat. Then he wanted to get down from the Qatar Decoration Bus stop near the tysir Petrol Station. There was bit traffic. BUT the bus took the inside road. So there was no traffic. BUT the bus stopped even before the tysir Petrol Station. And the door was open. That person told the driver to take the bus to the Bus Stop. Because may be more than 25m need to walk from that place to the bus stop itself. So driver was telling something in may be Indian language and he took the bus. And he didn’t stop the bus in the bus stop.
The person was telling the driver to stop the bus. And he showed the bus stop to the driver and told this the bus stop. Stop the bus. But the driver didn’t stop. So the person pressed the ticket machine and a ticket came out. And he told the driver to stop the bus. Suddenly bus stopped and driver was shouting why did you pressed the machine and he was asking the money for the ticket.
The person told “ NO I will not give you. Why didn’t u stop the bus? Do I want to walk all this far just because you didn’t stop the bus. Now even you stopped just because I pressed this otherwise I have to walk from next bus stop to here. That means from Midmac to Tysir.”
Then there were some others shouting against the driver and the Driver suddenly HIT THAT PERSON. He HIT to that persons head. And that guy may be know something he just quickly reacted and saved himself from the shot. And then all others started to the driver and they were ready to call the police. Then some people came and controlled the situ and driver also got scared and opened the door and that person got down and told the driver to give new tickets and stop the bus in the bus Stop.
This a good lessons for all the bus drivers. They should maintain their level. Without cheating they should do the job respectfully and legally. They should not treat people like this way.
IF they continue doing this tomorrow there will be another person like this to press the ticket button…..
Thank you for reading.
Please pass this to all and post your comments on this.
Yes, the drivers should have an ID, name and number so that complaints can be easily handled.

hit or whatever...
Hi,
I drive everyday to work from Dukhan... If you need some help,,, let me know... I am a female too
Please go ahead with your survey,u must take down rhe bus number, route no,date, time of your survey,if possible u insist on getting fresh ticket so that when u report with all details it wl b easy for authorieies to verify.
Unless some one wakes up such things wl increase, all the best
Hi Karwa, train your driver to drive, not to hurt innocent people. I suggest All Bus Driver must put the Photo ID and Name Tag in front of the bus (when in duty), so any similar case happens again, all passenger can record the name, and report immediatelly to police.
I think you should file a complaint to KARWA officials. Take pictures if you can and pass them on.
noor2fml, i salute you for sharing this to us. i can sense the goodness of your intention. please pursue your plan of doing survey. this will give strong signal to the bus drivers that they are being watched and expected to be honest, polite in doing their noble job.
may i suggest that you call the attention of the karwa company before or after the survey. this way you can have their support and it will make the job easier.
progress
I agree with you. For some things…
I started saying the bus no and the route No. The way you going may be good. BUT the route 33 is one that has more labors. And this not just a story. This is what happening in the buses daily. Minimum there will be one person who getting trouble of the bus stop. May be not stopping. BUT DAILY they give old tickets…. Again and again…
And I told at the beginning, all are not like this. But Most of them are like this. I can do a survey and show you the numbers if I get the proper authority approval…..
thanks noor2fml for sharing your experience with QL members..
I hope your valuable information can wave out such incidents here after..
Regards
I'm not denying your story but as a person who travelled Dukhan to Doha return daily for 2 years I beg you not to think that all the drivers are crooks. I have not ever seen them behave anything other than professionally, occasionally they did go past the labourers who are waiting but they are under serious pressure to be on time and get into trouble if they are not. I did see them treat women and children with huge respect and not charge an elderly man and vacate a seat for him to sit down.
I agree that the behaviour you mention is unacceptable, but hopefully it is unusual, the vast majority in my experience are good men. My only complaint is that some of them drive far too fast, especially in the old buses that are on their last legs.
