Qatar Foundation Problems

It seems that Qatar Foundation is having problems with opening the new Recreation Center and Shopping area next to the ECCH housing area.

There are rumors that the money needed for this project to be completed is not available. It was supposed to open in September 2008, then September 2009 and now it is postponed with no announced date.

With the buildings ready for a year, it seems there are other reasons which no one will talk about that are causing the delay. Maybe the Qatar Foundation has grown too large to handle all the projects they are trying to run?

The question may be, if KAUST in Saudi can open a whole campus in 2 years, why can't the Qatar Foundation open a single building in 3 years? Anyone want to guess?

Your comment on QF is remindinding of Al wakra hospital project and Hamad. Each manager and director have their own opinion and ego problems. Under the name of financial crisis Hanan Al kuwari is getting rid of all her competitors and their supporters. People should really open up and talk about these things.

Are you nuts?......no doubt I am crazy about you!

I tell you whats the problem. I worked in QF for 2 years.. and in a dept that used to deal with the recreation center.

What's the problem?? THE MANAGEMENT! They arent going in the same direction. I tell you!! this manager plans something, his boss doesnt really support it.. the system is void. Come on.. I mean, QF, it's QF. They should be quick thinker and apply their thoughts in a second. There is money, resources, and people. I still dont get why its taking so long!! I cant wait for it to be open!! I still work in QF but in another center, and I cant wait for it to open to go there and get things if i need to after work.

I believe that employees should make a petition and open up about this. Maybe someone can create a document and everyone signs in and eventually send it to the upper high mgt people to take action as soon as possible!!!!!

I can sign in the petition if there is one :)

Actually I know someone who moved there in July 2007 and was told "2 months". The latest I heard was difficulty finding staff to run the rec. facilities.
