Is traffic in Doha as bad as Dubai?

never been to dubai,

but as per my friends (who works in dubai)

traffic is not a problem there

as well as here in doha

Doha not as bad...but it's definitely getting there...& getting there fast...you see we don't have any 8 laners like Sh.Zayed in this town & it will probably be another few decades by the time that happens considering the pace @ which things happen in this town...BUT 10,000 new vehicles are being registered & added onto the roads every MONTH...do the math mate...just a matter of time before it actually gets a lot worse than Dubai...the railway network is about 16 years away(they're saying 16 so safely assume 20+),unlike Dubai which has the Metro already up & running...so currently definitely not as bad as Dubai but just give it a little time & watch the chaos unfold...

exactly. . i know people who drive to office at 3.30 am n all and sleep in the car near their office..

Been there for visit. That Sh. Zayed road .. huhhh !!!

Yes rMs, I used to leave home at 5:30 and reach office at around 8:30 there and my office was 6 kms away from home.. You don't have that in Doha..

It is much better than Dubai Sharjah Road or Naif Area or Mina Bazar and bank street area.. rest is pretty much the same.. Drivers are a bit more reckless though, no make it lot more reckless...
