I'm Looking to buy a 3G PCMCIA adapter for a laptop.
Do Qtel or Vodaphone sell them in Qatar or am I able to buy a generic adapter outside Qatar and use a Qtel 3G enabled SIM card?
hi ..both are available and you may use them .. Q-tel is having USB adapter where you can use your sim card and browse the net .. its available with all leading IT shops in qatar ..
apart from Q-tel ones, there are Promate and D-link brands also available ..so you may choose any of these .. (I have seen them in PCone, Located in Salwa road, near Midmac Bridge)
and for the data usage, Q-tel is offering Unlimited broadband(HSDPA) for 400QR/Monthly ..
Hi, I believe Vodafone is due to launch a 3G mobile broadband card in the next couple of months (I am using a Vodafone SIM with the free 300MB of mobile internet to write this with my Nokia E71 tethered).
I think Qtel has a service in the market now, you will need to ask others how good the service is.
