Hi, I have a 1 yo cat, cute has all it's papers and vaccination. His name is Darko his black all over with a white belly. I have to give him to someone responsible though. I have to give hime away because my other male cat, Buddha and him are fighting a lot...(territory)...let me know. I also found a stray at the petrol station near landmark...he looks about 2 weeks old..I am keeping him in one of the rooms and feeding him, will take him to the vet to get him dewormed and vaccinated. I haven't named him..let me know if you are seriously interested.

Wow, I never knew the Middle Eastern mythos of Catula. I had heard the stories in South America how he was once revered as a savior for banishing (eating) the chupacabra. It was very soon after this expulsion that the people realized this deed was not done out of decency or generosity but rather so Catula could dispose of all competition in his hunt for human flesh.

This is no myth... I am probably one of a few humans to have faced Catula and lived to tell the tale.. The limp being the only giveaway ...

Some say that he shelters in trees, and that his sweat can be used to clean precious metals..

Some say that his owner took him to the Vet to be neutered and now uses a wheelchair and talks in a high pitched voice..

What is the monter cat you say? Well, pull up a chair and I'll tell you how the story goes...

Ahhh yes... it was back in 19 oh seventy five. It was a dark and dreary night at old Van Morrison's ranch. His gene splicing experiments had gotten the best of him once again. Many hours he worked in his cellar; trying to create what only the divine could. This night however, something was different. There was something in the air, something evil... Like every night, Van Morrison charged up his electro-inducing circuits with the hopes of sparking life into dead corpses.

A bolt of red lightning screamed through the sky and found its way into the lifeless corpse of a cat [roadkill]. It started pulsating... faster and faster, brighter and brighter. Van Morrison had to shield his eyes because of the brilliant light and then, darkness crept in.

The next morning, an ear-piercing scream erupted from the ranch and the monter cat was born. Some say it still roams freely throughout the world, and QLers say, it has found its way to Doha.

That's how the story goes anyways, believe it or not, I'll leave that for you to decide.

Why do you NEED cats? Surely you should wait until a cat needs you...

Why don't you contact us at QAWS and see if we have any for rehoming (which we do). All our cats are neutered and vaccinated and all we ask is that you pay their vets bill. You said in another post you only want to pay 100-150 per cat - how many cats do you want? Why don't you spend all of your budget on ONE cat that is healthy, neutered and vaccinated instead of buying loads and then having a huge vets bill when you neuter them all

Will you take the cat(s) with you when you leave Qatar? Can you really afford to have lots of cats and kittens when each cat will cost you a minimum of QR750 to neuter and vaccinate?

Then you probably shouldn't get another cat until and unless you can (a) afford to give him/her the medical care they need on a regular basis and (b) you are prepared to make sure it isn't exposed to "monter" cats or other hazards.

U CAN FIND TOO MUCH CATS AND KITTENS ON SREETS . OR GO ANY OF LABOUR CAMPS U CAN FIND SO MANY. TAKE ONE THEM BY CHOSSING.

I took my dog to be castrated this morning at one of the vets and I saw they had cats and kittens, quite cute too. The number is 4367187. Good luck with your search.

NB cats are not "free" they come with costs such as spaying or neutering and annual vaccinations etc. However, they give you a lifetime of love, affection, and companionship.
