I live in a damn shared villa, and when I moved in a few months ago there was a really abused cat hanging around at times. He had white fluffy hair and was near death skinny. He also had an eye that was almost sealed up closed. Anyways I felt pity on him and started feeding him odds and ends at times. He started getting better, cleaning himself, his eye opened up. I was kinda proud I did at least something good... Well anyways he's been gone for about three or four days and only today I paid attention to a dark red stain on the floor of the stairwell. I've seen it for the first time about the time he disappeared. Today I noticed the stain is actually dried blood, and I noticed the marks run all the way through the garage and out the gates, a good hundred meters or so. I am loathe to think the worst but I guess it's pretty obvious I have some pretty sick puppies for neighbours. Who would beat a helpless cat to blood? Sorry I know this makes no sense but I just had to share, it totally ruined my day :(

sorry to hear that, I been feeding some poor skinny kittens in front of our house too. And I have know test that some of them are just gone, one day they there and the next day they are gone, I was wondering if somebody is killing them or taking them or what happened to them, they had that eye disease also. Or maybe they just died, they where really skinny , poor things :(

Is it possible that the cat brought a death bird or something and the blood stain is actually from that prey?? You see, I realized cats when they are thankful to a person, they leave strange gifts for them... I've found in my doorstep death birds, little mice, even a little snake once! It is their way of showing respect and appreciation I assume.

Also, cats disappear every once in a while for a few days, they are cats. I've had more cats than I can recall, all of them rescued from the streets. My sister would cry so hard whenever one didn't show up in a few days... then the cat would come back again and eat, enjoy being petted. Don't panic, cats behave like that!

I'm just trying to cheer you up a bit with other possible things that might have happened...

Good luck and I really hope the cat comes back!!

that is seriously not cool :(

If somebody did hurt the cat (which I hope isn't the case)

Especially during Ramadan which is a time you're supposed to show compassion including to Animals.
