do we really need to have ID's
Hi QL fellows, please help me understand the reality of ID's that we use to introduce ourselves in QL.
I think it eventually results in loss of our real personality, we are masked, not ourselves, it is someone else isn't it?
Why we do so, do we think what we are is not worth it? or some other reason, please share your thoughts
1) why you selected the ID and why selected the avatar?
2) had it been your name what do you think was wrong?
3) are you more comfortable with your ID rather than your real name?

it's great that we can have a stage name to hide behind.
do i really want some of the twats out there knowing who i am & where i work.....the hate PMs are enough for me, and i must say i enjoy receiving.
my experience girls hate imposter's , they love caring & truthful males

i think for girls it is better to be on the safe side with an ID, unless she is 100%sure of the people, to reveal her identity. what do you say?

i agree with you in principle this ID business is absolutely without any self censorship, so i may be saying what under no normal circumstances can be heard from me. do you think that's fare?
that's what i am saying exactly and you have confirmed it,
for example your name is "A" and you love "B". you were unable to tell the same to her and then you became someone else and conveyed your emotions as "C".
You still lack her love buddy she loves "C" not you
its more easy to terrorise someone or people when when they dont know the real you... they can only block ur ID... still u can make a new ac count...hehehe

I agree with you that we may be losing personality but the environment is not as good as men for us to expose our real name and pictures, so I personally feel more comfortable with my ID

I totally agree with crapcircle, I have the same attitude towards the "new" forums on internet. Who you are does not matter+ I don't want people to know everything about me - I am more private than most maybe.

seriously, I'm not here for fame, I don't want anyone to know who I am. I don't have MySpace, Facebook, or any of that junk. I like to communicate with people, I don't give a damn who they are or where they're from, what they do, as long as we can have a meaningful exchange of information and ideas :)
