Accommodation in Qatar (Survey)

bleu
By bleu

I'm conducting a survey on accommodation requirements in Qatar, It's not really clear what people actually need, and I think QL is a great place to ask these questions

Reply to the survey here (Don't worry, it's anonymous)

When it is done, I will publish the results including graphs, as a reply to this topic.

Thanks.

I suggest re-opening the survey, now that people are back from vacation, I'm sure you'll get more contributions that would make a better representative sample.

Think about it.

Thanks for the reminder.

I will publish it, but didn't have the time to compile the results into something sensible.

I'll try to do that over the weekend.

This survey took me some 3 minutes, you either give them back or publish the results, whichever doable..:)

Just interested.

based on what I have currently. The only problem is the very high rent, which although it is covered by my employer is taxed by the US as income at 50%. The higher the amount of rent covered, the more I must pay out of my salary to cover the taxes. Last year my portion amounted to close to $30,000 (USD).

The ongoing problem with regard to housing in Qatar is the highly inflated rental market. !0 years ago for essentially the same thing, the tax on my housing allowance was about $3,000 (USD). This is obscene inflation resulting from unabashed greed.

I'm open to suggestions, I'm thinking of tweaking the survey and re-asking people every 6 to 12 months, I'll be publishing the results here on QL.

I think that this could be useful for real estate developers to know what people want.

baldrick, what do you think I could say there?

Done ... but ... You ask "What is the type of home you prefer to live in?"

I PREFER to live in a villa. I actually live in an apartment, so your survey results will be flawed based on my answers

If you get samepage again it means you have left something which is important. And if it is demanding number, it means the number of family members which should be ONE DIGIT (6-7 thingy not allowed). Try again.

doodlebugs, I already have responses without these questions, so this would skew the results, maybe next time (I may repeat this on a regular basis)... feel free to suggest any more questions. I would also make it a multi-page survey with specific questions for every type of accommodation.

Thanks.

bleu: thanks.

just a thought. would you not want to know what type of accommodation people prefer? compound villa or stand-alone. no questions about apartments either.

maybe thats not why the survey is being carried out.
