Doha is in a Construction mood but some answers needed.....

As Doha is in good Construction Mood ,but neither of any planners are leaving any space for pavement, parking areas for further developments in the city area void, when u plan something, why this is forgotten, we are living in the 21st Century dear Ashagal authoritites plan a way at least four lanes road and 2 to 3 lanes on wither side for parking.why these authorities go to Abudhabi and see the how the town is planned.and when are street light coming in.
Doha was planned for a population of 200,000. The population grew exponentially. How do you re-plan a city without building a new one?
UkEngQatar: yeah, thats true, its not easy at all to change the existing roads as not enough space is left to make is any wider. This was lack of planning since the very begining.
Now you find wide four lane roads next to City Center where its not needed presently whereas in the City its even difficult to find a three lane.
the funniest part is, you see how the road's width change. You drive on a 3 lane road, enter a roundout & on an exit you find a two lane, again you enter the round about ahead & on that exit you might find one lane & then again it leads you to 3 lane..lolzz..no wonder accidents are common.
While travelling to neighbouring countries by road, I see beautiful roads, bridges, overhead pools but all 85kms away from the city in AbuSamra..lolzz
I hope the planners here learn. AbuDhabi is amazingly done. No wonder the roads are so wide that one can change it into a football field.
I still remember, in a group discussion, few of my friends in AbuDhabi happened to ask me if we had 6 lane roads here in Qatar,& i was so embarrased to reply "Yes, we do have 6 lane roads but when you add both the to & fro sides". LOL
It is too late to change the existing Roads in Doha due to the lack of space available now. But this should be considered in any future planning of new Roads and Highways..
U r right

Go ahead
well it's a fact
