Urgent Question

Harmagedōn
By Harmagedōn

QL'ers,

Need advice asap.

Situation: My visa has been canceled last week, I am flying out on Thursday (masalama!!)

Now, I need to fly up and down to Bahrain tomorrow. Can I get back into the country on a tourist visa 5 hours after I 'officially' left in order to stay one day, pick up my luggage and leave for home?

Thank you so much for your input.

U can go Bahrain and come back on a British Passport, even if u have been cancelled, they changed it a while back saying that if youve been cancelled u cant come back in, but they changed it back again, u can come in on a tourist visa stamp on arrival, i just double checked with a immigration officer i know....

NO POK...

NO NOC...

Lol yes, QL.

Here is how it goes with the annual bonus.

You + you + you, yes. Based on nationality.

You + you + you, yes. Based on religion, but less.

You + you - No, based on Nationality and Religion.

A poor boy that works outside day in day out that deserves a little extra, from 1100 p/m to 1300, KBIRRRRRRRRRRR Muskila, no... impossible, shame on me for requesting.

A manager, with no skills and no knowledge about what he is doing, sure..... package 25.000 + + + p/m, no problem. After all, he is a friend.

And an NOC from my company, no way... they have this policy where they decide to ruin peoples lives, just because we were hired from abroad and not locally - this for shits and giggles. (no Qatari's at the helm, only a Sheikh that trusts his secondary-management-mafia-of-haram-practices)

For me, I am young single and will survive. However people before me, aged 45+ have been greatly affected with this as they had new jobs lined up after being declared redundant for no good reason other than 'recession' and naturally had wives and kids to take care off. All it needs is a stupid NOC for these families to survive (school, college etc) but no, the mighty Mafia has a policy and refuses to work from HUMANE perspective. The worst thing is that NONE of them has the balls to say no to the face, yet let you circle until it becomes hopeless.

but try to look at the brighter side of the dark life..(lool what am sayin here???)... with all your experiences and qualifications somehow, somewhere out there is better than doha...

Yes, without NOC there is no possibility of you coming back because as you say your visa was CANCELLED.. so its definitely after 2 years only you can come back and even as a tourist no way you can enter coz just one swipe with your I.D or just one press on the key of the computer of the immigration that's it...history of you is there and its clear ...CANCELLED...

Goodluck then if one of the immigration pipol say you can enter again that soon...(just in case you do, then QLers must celebrate to welcome you back---but you have to pay for all..ok?)

Thanks All... I have decided on the following due to mixed signals. My flight to A'dam = 05/08 22:55. Hence will fly to Bahrain 05/08 and return to Doha in the evening around 6 or 7, and will just stay in the airport. Besides having to drag luggage around. I KNOW I will be safe and not get into trouble. It will be a long day but hey, it is worth it.

Really, thanks for your comments!!

I will make my final "this will surely get me banned" topic very soon, in order to NEVER reincarnate again..... just to be in line with my QL-personage... or shall I just die a natural death, that would be a better twist, the cat that died at his 9th QF life of natural causes

(MOD - no ban for this statement please)

angel_prince2008 NOC is a must before you can come back here in qatar in whatever visa you are going to take. and i believe if your RP has been cancelled last week you only have 7 days to stay inside qatar if you stay longer you will have to pay a certain penalty (not sure how much). How abt your exit permit? has it already been issued? i know exit permit are only valid for 7 days.

Well i wish you good luck on your travel.

oh.. i am really sorry .... best of luck to your new venture.... qatar doesnt deserve you, see it in that way...

Have you asked your company for a tourist NOC?

Or, as QL says you could just stay here and pay the fine I think.

I call our Mandoub now !!! im sorry to tell you that it cannot be to come back at a tourrist Visa ..Cancel mean cancel..or you can get another visa from another company but the problem you still need the NOC...Im sorry

Ok, here is my solution...

Pack my bags today, fly with all I got to Bahrain, and fly back Thursday, stay in transit and fly out a couple of hours later to the Netherlands. Just need to make sure I can bring KG 20 + hand luggage on Bahrain Airways.

Last November a colleague was turned away at DOH when he came in on a tourist visa from the US after having worked in Qatar previously. The university didn't realize he needed an NOC at that time. But since we have heard that NOCs are not required for tourist visas after cancellation of the RP. Shalom, Har Megiddo!

if a UK passport holder cant enter after then you cant either. you need to have NOC from your ex sponsor. you will be deported on very next flight.

By Harmagedōn• 3 Aug 2009 13:58
Harmagedōn

Hmmmm my Qatari friend just called immigration and he says that the police officer told him I can re-enter on a tourist after one hour, this based on nationality 0031.

Anyway, I'll just take the risk and if not I'll just cause mayhem at the airport... and tell them...

DO NOT MAKE ME PULL OUT Hotboss, FU, Climber, The Dude, Omnipresence ....

if i am not mistaken, same thing happened with our banned Mr.Paul, he left Qatar got a new job in Bahrain. But he being turn away in the airport when he want to come to Doha for hols and see his friends on QLSG. No NOC you cant come into the country for 2 years. Period.

By DaRuDe• 3 Aug 2009 13:51

By tallg• 3 Aug 2009 13:49

And it's a different NOC from the one you'd need if you wanted to work here. It just has to say they are happy for you to come into the country as a tourist, I think.

"canceling means I can not WORK for 2 years. I can get in on a tourist visa though."

I don't think that's right. If I remember the recent stories correctly, for some nationalities (not sure which, but definitely UK) you have to get a NOC to come back as a tourist.

By Harmagedōn• 3 Aug 2009 13:38
Harmagedōn

Thanks,

Well I am assuming I can come back on a tourist visa, as there are plenty of people that fly in and out just to renew their tourist/business visa.

QL, canceling means I can not WORK for 2 years. I can get in on a tourist visa though.

I tried ringing immigration but they do not pick up, oddly the line is busy at times.

And yes Rizk, I am a goner.... :-( Hate it, but it is the harsh reality. Recession termination, and they do not even have the decency to issue an NOC.

By labda06• 3 Aug 2009 13:35
labda06

Ah that sucks that you're leaving Harmagedon. Hope you still log onto QL ;)

Why cant you just take your luggage with?

By umair9001• 3 Aug 2009 13:35
umair9001

there should be a time restriction before which you can enter qtr again..if ur family visa was cancelled then i think it might be possible..no idea about the work visa..

By eu61• 3 Aug 2009 13:34
eu61

as far as I know no.

And people from inmigration is very strict. They will not allow, not even a friend to collect your luggage and give you in the airport.

Sorry,

By Gypsy• 3 Aug 2009 13:34

I think the rules have changed so that you only technically need to be out of the country 3 hours.....However I'm not 100% sure about that. Max though you would need to stay out for 24 hours, then you can return on a tourist visa.

By QatariLady• 3 Aug 2009 13:33
QatariLady

You have to make sure that you can come back. Maybe cancellation of your visa means you cannot come back before 2 years.
