And the person saying about the attendant 'being on vacation'; no. You travel as a passenger, not working in uniform, on holiday days.
A word of caution; it is a 'people' environment. They are paid to smile and be ultra courteous. That doesn't mean they aren't genuine, but of course if you compare the service experience to, say, Q-Tel, then....don't read too much into the way you were treated by them, in terms of love interest.
You could have taken the mobile no. of this flight attendant whom u want to be on the flight u travel next... u could then check with him when he is flying on the route around time u wanna fly and then book your tickets for that flight and just fly... and behold there he is on the flight ....

I travelled from Doha to Delhi and returned back the very next day flight with the same crew.
Too many variables:
Airline,
Number of planes,
Number of weekly flights,
number of stewards,
number of stewardesses,
Hotness factor of the attendent (yep it's a factor, don't ask me how),
Location base of the attendent,
Starsign,
etc.. etc..
