Please answer the followings :

When we meet the road accident causing the damage of car by another party.

1) Should we call the police first, what is the contact number of police ?

2) Should we keep the damaged car standing on the same accident spot for a better assessment from the police personnel or park it to a nearest place to ease the traffic flow ?

3) How can we claim from the insurance company for the damaged car for its repairing ?

Thanks

Incase you meet an accident:

1st Step : Call 999 or 112 (Emergency Service, even works if you are out of credit). Inform them the location & both the car plate numbers.

2nd Step : If both of you are confused who is mistaken leading to accident, dont move the other & let the police decide or you may risk other person lying during the police enquiry. But if its very clear & the other party/ourself agree to the mistake (as well it can be identified from the area of damage on the car) you can very well report this on 999 / 112 & inform them that you both are willing to visit the Area Managed Traffic Police Station. (DONT FORGET TO NOTE THE PLATE NUMBER OF OTHER CAR INCASE HE RUNS AWAY WHILE ON THE WAY TO POLICE STATION).

3rd Step : Once reached the Traffic Station, you will need to narrate the accident story & show your original driving license as well as car registration card. Pay Qrs 100 in total & get the Car repair & Insurance Claim papers from Police.

4th Step : Visit the mentioned insurance on police paper(other party's insurance if he is liable). They will click few photographs & provide you with garage address to drop your car for repair.

u shud always call the police for any road accidents the number is 999, as for moving the car... dnt if the damage is huge.... if its just minor ....u better move to a side close to the point ...cuz the police will fine you for blocking traffic otherwise bt again this is debateable cuz it rarely is inforced tough clearly stated in traffic rules... as for the last one insurance covers almost everything n again it depends on the type of insurance cover u have.... tc peace ;)

1. better contact the police first. number to call is 999

2. if it is a minor one and you can move both of your car, better park it, so to ease the traffic flow. if the police advised you to go the the nearest traffic department, take note of the plate no. of the other car and the mobile no. of the other party.

3. once you have the police report, the police will advise you if you will have to go to the other party's insurance (other party's fault) or to your insurance (if it's your fault).
