Problems in Transfering money from Doha Bank
I send money to my family in India 2 weeks back through Doha Bank a/c. Bank has already debited my account and the money is still not received in India.
Whenever I call bank here, call center agent is saying she will send email to the department and contact me later. Anybody have similar problems before.
Yes, this issue is still exists with Doha Bank. This is second time I am facing the issue with doha bank when i transfer money to India. DohaBank offers 24 to 48 hours to credit money at destination bank but it may take one week to credit. I think they are monitoring exchange rate and holding the money until the exchange rate favor for them. Both times they told the reason is technical issue and not only for me but so many other customers. Now, I cant trust anymore with DohaBank for international money transfer.
is the exchange rate comparatively low or high with other exchange?
is there any charge to transfer fund to india?
To which bank in india you had sent?
While remitting money, doha bank account will debit only when the money is pushed to the correspondent bank in India. So you should better contact your bank in India with the details. You can query to doha bank which correspondent bank the money is sent and you can inform the bank in india regarding the same.
I have been using this service for so long and i found it very convinient. you will get better exchange rate while you transfer online.
Hello
Doha Bank's online transfer is the fastest way to transfer money to India ( may be other countries also )
If you are maintaining an account with UTI BANK ( AXIS BANK ) from your Doha Bnak account you can transfer money to your Axis Bnak's ( UTI BANK )A/c. with in 3 to 5 seconds.
As you have transfered the funds adn your family has not received yet. so in this case please visit the Bank's Manager personally and explain him ( Take all the necessary documents with you ).
All the best.
Doha Bank has tie ups with some banks in India. If u are transfering money to any of these banks it is remitted instantly but if u r transferring to banks other than these the it takes 24 hrs or can take maximum 3 Indian working days not more than that.
U have mentioned two weeks which is quite a long time. U need to contact Doha bank as well as send a mail to ur bank in India with details of remittance.
All the very best.
The normal time is 3 working days. You have to go to the manager of the bank and meet him. Telephone calls will not solve the problem.
My advice is transfering through Al Ferdan because it is faster and cheaper.
