Exagerated used car prices
In the process of selling my old truck and fruitless, up-to-date at least, attempts to by a newer model I have become a "QL Cars for Sale in Qatar" addict!! It is quite interesting to see this huge traffic of used car info on the Website.. As a matter of fact I find QL to be far more popular than car sale specialized websites!
The irritating aspect of it, though, is the way some people use the website to take others for a ride by advertising their used cars for unreasonable prices, to say the least. Others put obscene prices for their used cars.. One guy, for example, is demanding nearly QR.100,000 for a 2006 Toyota that has over 60,000 Kms on the clock, come on give me a break!!
The problem is when straightforward people try to sell their used cars they base their asking price on the "research" they conduct by scrolling down the pages in search of similar cars previously advertised on QL. The funny thing is that those cars, with exaggerated or unreasonable prices, remain for sale on the website for ages without the slightest chance of attracting a near offer!! I wonder if any of you feel the way I do about this.

Stealth, It is a Prado VX 61,000 km, my dear, and he is seriously, asking,QR. 98,000. Check it out yourself. This is obscene by any standard.
Britexpat, That is exactly what I mean, sir.Layman the buyer and layman the seller, as well.
I see that you're trying to be a smart...,auscharlie, making fun of my name. Just cut the crap out.
The rest of your comment is not worth replying to.
It's a valid point, but what guide should people use?
I was surprised when I first came here how well used cars kept their value compared to home, and it's still the case now.
I think the point he's trying to make is that the "Layman" is guided by the prices on the site. These can be very misleading.
i suppose he is talking about the cars which says it is BRAND NEW and covered only 60,000 kms :)
Dear William Alfalafel,
your post is an exaggeration lol

Don't get angry with me! I'm only typing what you are thinking!
on what car you are talking about... a 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser 2006 with 60000km for QR100000 is still a bargain
I would not buy a car with an "exaggerated" price tag. If somebodey does, it's his fault, isn't it? And if one cannot sell his expensive car, it's his problem, too. So, what's your problem?
