Doha Bank is a big bully its charging more interest rate from its customers than any other bank in Qatar. why does not the national bank have any restrictions on such overchargings here in Qatar.

FS, the Mashreq Bank is paying 5.25% and no minimum balance.. but i will consider Doha Bank as well...

Mashreq bank is a UAE based bank if im not mistaken i would suggest you not to go for that currently the UAE economy being not so good.

yes, dmigtysolomon, why not? I am not asking to guarantee my money.. i am asking about the Mashreq Bank, how stable it is... maybe someone is workinng there and knows the situation from inside... why not?

for example, I wouldn't recommend to keep your money in some ceratin countries/banks, as it's totaly unsafe..But i have no clue about the Mashreq Bank, that's why i am asking..

well...rather I would go for Doha Bank...it seems more safe to me...

QS... Nothing is safe in this world hun! As long as it is controlled by Qatar Central Bank, its as safe as any other bank in Qatar.

Doha Bank is paying interest upfront on your savings account...for a minimum of QR. 50,000/- I think its 4%...you get 2000/- for a year in advance.

there is nothing called safe when it comes to banking.......dosen't matter which bank it is if they go bankrupt your money goes with it.

Mashreq and Doha Banks. And our salary is in HSBC. With all the negative things they say about almost all banks here, who cares?

actually I don't care about their services. I am not going to use them for anything but getting the interest on savings..

My question is: Is my money NOT going to disappear one day, along with the bank itself or something like that?...

I heard or read somewhere that the service of this bank is very very bad but I don't know about saving account.
