Karwa hoarding taxis??
I'm just back from Karwa licensing and traffic police dept. On the way back I saw about 300+ taxis collecting dust in various parts of the main operations centre. On asking the driver, he said there are about 500 more brand new taxis sitting unused. Now, how can we have a scarcity of taxis on the road while 800+ cars sit there at Karwa HQ? Can't seem to figure why. I'll just have some Gin n Tonic instead.
I agree with Voldemort
Drivers hate Karwa, Residents hate Karwa, Karwa always unavailable, Bookings system inefficient , Drivers trying to steal company by not using the meter.
It was much much better with orange taxis (except cleanliness and cars condition)
My last experience a t 1PM I had to walk from Toyota tower all the way to bus station because there no taxis (either occupied or drivers not willing to stop!!!). When I reached the station near Al Fardan where , I believe, there are taxis on standby, I found them parked away from the Queue , 6 exactly..
I saw this too and couldnt believe it but I guess when you are paying QR 1,200 a month as salary you may have a hard time getting people to work a 12 hour shift 7 days a week.
I was following a Karwa car this morning that had some bit of the car wobbling off the bottom which touched the pavement and actually made sparks. Must be a real comfy ride, cant imagine what the interior is like if this is the exterior condition.

It makes my blood boil, especially when I call then for a taxi only to be told the only available one is 4am 3 weeks on Tuesday (not literally but you know what I mean).
Here's an idea ... Why don't they take some of the death traps off the road and replce them with the new cars?
I hope they will do something about those cabs! It's so hard to find taxi..even in malls, you have to wait because of the long queue..

The whole Karwa idea was not a good one..we should have continued with the old Yellow cabs (pthan taxis)..they were cheaper and easier to find..
...Avada Kedavra..
Drivers don't want to work for Karwa because of the contract...Each driver has to pay the company fixed amount at the end of each shift, which most feel like mission impossible
