Problems on Summer Heat

Hello everyone, nice coming back with you...I missed Qatarliving alot...

My topic is about the problems of people especially on summer days. We do not want to embarrass people who have these problems but by commenting and giving advise to this forum, maybe they could read it and solve their problems without embarrassment.

Please tell something about the common problems arising these days due to the heat of the sun.
Like for instance, Sweating, oversweating or there might be other terms for that, sweating is so common and it is all over the body, and these results to body odour, not to mention other private parts, the under arms and feet...sorry guys, this is a little bit like descrimination, but if some people suggest what to do to avoid or prevent it, then isn't that good?

I really feel for people who have these problems,, but its easy and simple, just be clean....

*Wash daily with a deodorant soap= Using an antibacterial soap like Dial or Safeguard will work well on the bacteria that are producing the odor.

*Freshen up= During the day, if you can do a quick wash of your armpits with a wet washcloth or paper towel.

*Use a deodorant= Over-the-counter underarm deodorants will work fine on all odor-producing areas. The deodorant should contain antibacterial metallic salts (aluminum or zinc) to kill odor-causing bacteria. Roll-ons and sticks will provide better coverage and longer-lasting protection than sprays.

*Use an antiperspirant=Commercial antiperspirants will slow down some of the apocrine sweat production. They should contain aluminum chlorohydrate as their active ingredient and are often combined with deodorants.

*Powder the offensive area= Sprinkling some baking soda, talc, baby powder or cornstarch under the arms or across the body will absorb and mask many of the odors produced.

*Get the odor out of your clothes= Wash your clothes with an odor-fighting detergent. If necessary, take a change of clothes or underwear with you to work.

* Rub on some alcohol. "You may want to try directly applying a splash or two of some rubbing alcohol, witch hazel or hydrogen peroxide during the day just as some extra maintenance. These substances help reduce the number of odor-causing bacteria. Aim your splash where bacteria hang out—under the arms, for instance.

*Avoid spicy, pungent foods= Frequent consumption of foods containing garlic, curry and cumin can cause some overpowering odors to emanate from your pores—often up to 24 hours after consumption. Try cutting back on these spices and see if it helps.

*Trim underarm and body hair= Since men are the biggest offenders, they should follow the example of women and shave their armpits. The hairs trap a lot of the sweat and odor and provide hiding places for the bacteria.

Rizk drinking Alcohol? Now how does drinking Alcohol reduce sweating. Maybe using Alcohol as a deodrant might help..

Infact Tea and Coffee after effect does make one cool off.

Where do you get your facts from Rizks.. I hope it is not Pajju that your talking to again?

could be that the acid in the vinegar kills the bacteria causing odorous feet... most important is take a bath daily, deodorants are useless when used without having a bath... it just gets worse..

pls explain the reason - soaking the feet in lukewarm water with salt and vinegar ?

wish to know the point

No problem with sweating, but the smell, not mine,...but someone else. On close contact, you feel like bringing you own oxygen breathing kits. Some smell like pig and no perfume or deodorant can solve that problem for a certain group of people.

We should not tell them with other people around, we must tell them in private inorder not to embarrass them and in a nicely tone of voice. That's how it should be...I'm sure they won't feel offended and embarrass, that is base on my experience working with people having these problem :)

for overweight persons try to take many showers especially before going to bed & After getting up & use NIVEA deodorant blue for sport it is stronger than the white one & keep away from anything regular or stop perspiration cause it will cause you many skin problems.DRINK WATER as much as you can or even juice it is much important than you think,Also keep away from being under the Sun for long time, you can use umbrella & have some sweets with you in case you feel daisy.

There is no racist in here, i create these topic to help solve their problems, is there a better way to tell to these people then? As i said it's hard to tell them directly, and we don't want them to embarrass..

I found soulution to this, I had this problem with our employees as some of them are working outdoors. What I did, since I was the controller of medical supplies, I include in the monthly request 10-15 pcs deodorant, lol

When a patient came into the clinic for treatment with extra problem(body odor/underarm), I gave them 1 pc. and in a nice way I say "don't get me wrong but I think you need to use this after shower" and the next time they buy their own...see how effective? :)

Actually, as long as one is maintaining hygiene I think there is nothing wrong in prespiring. I cannot be dainty all the time, I like to sweat.

For those of us that can afford or have access to that, of course that is a given.

I will hoist that up the flag pole and see who salutes it!!

By mariam-mar• 16 May 2009 21:43

To start with, one should take a bath everyday,

don't reuse the clothes you perspired already, always roll-on a deodorant(but please don't if you did not take a shower)Don't spray perfume or perfumed talc on the area, it is more smelly, for the feet, soak the feet in a lukewarm water with a little salt and vinegar preferrably at night, before bedtime....

anything else guys???

or wash your smelly bits. We all can smell from time to time. It must be worse for these poor men that work all day in the heat and then go back to crap camps where there is one shower for about a thousand of them.

I will hoist that up the flag pole and see who salutes it!!
