Landmark without a doubt - got the best shops. Am loving Kurt Geiger shoe shop, Reiss, White Company, Warehouse, BCBG, etc, etc. And I can get my fix of salad cream and chocolate biscuits from M&S!!
Villaggio is good too, and nearer to my home, BUT it seriously lacks decent shoe shops..............not good!
tallg, disagree with that, allthe packed malls have hypermarkets, this meaning that a vast amount of people visit for food supplies and other supermarket necessities..., and not always for other purchases, not to mention the women watchers! I know a couple of retailers and you'd be surprised at some of the information given on sales revenue comparisons between different shop branches... Quantity does not always mean high sales for some shops..
The sad fact is, people seem to like the 'repeats'. That's why CC, Villagio & Landmark are always packed and Royal Plaza is rarely busy, let alone packed.
Villiago, the 4th most luxious mall in the world. Forbes have obviously not visited numerous malls around the world before making that list.
It is nice, but nothing amazing other than the features copied from Las Vegas.
Can't stand CC, horrible place! The Mall is nice and easy to navigate, Villagio is great for high street brands, Landmark has some good concepts such as Dune, The White Company etc..., a good place to visit once in a while for a shopping spree. Shame that Mega is no longer there... Royal Plaza is nice for something different such as Boudoir for handmade stuff, Tavola, Events party shop, Veleno..etc..a place to treat oneselves really,or gift buy.
I think we have way enough malls, we just need a better variety of shops in place of repeats..
Last year (2008), Forbes categorized VILLAGIO as the 4th most luxurious mall in the world.
But I would settle for Landmark. It is nice and not too busy and almost everything is available, including a kids area where the small ones can enjoy themselves...
Very nice indeed...

if we eliminate some of these "raw malls", what has qatar to offer for outdoor activities in this kind of weather...
maybe they should start building other structures that would offer indoor activities promoting maybe multiple fitness activities like indoor wall climbing...could possibly reduce the "obesity thread"
How can anybody call Villagio a mall ....its more like a Giant Exhibition tent with no upper levels!!!
Ok Villagio looks better due to the "Sky" and the water thingy.....Remeber Villagio is new design compared to the much, much older CC.
The only problems with CC are its parking and it gets crowded......But then malls are supposed to be crowded.....if its not crowded then its obviously not doing good business!!!
If people can't find better ways to spend their weekends than going to the same malls with the same shops and the same food outlets then it's a sad reflection on society.
hmm tallg, i wasnt putting it in the ratio with population,, but then,, if Qatar had adequate malls, did v have to struggle our head out finding a car parking in CC, villagio & at the same time in landmark too??????!!! i noted this myslf!!
now if we remove few malls out of sight...what good activities qatar have that a person wil never be bored of doing every weekend atleast ? you can never compare it with back in your country tallg...!

"Qatar lack malls" - you're joking right? It must have one of the highest mall-space to population ratios in the world!
They should get rid of some of them in an attempt to encourage people to get out and do something interesting, instead of just wondering around with the rest of the drones.
The Best Mall in Qatar is Dunes Mall in Mesaieed. As the Bachelors can roam about any day of the week..
My favorite mall in Doha I guess is Villagio.. Because there is always a story about some young lady being stoppped by some concern local about her dress code...lol

Any mall that doesn't enforce "family day" with exceptions
is ok for me...coz i only have friday to go to mall.

parking problem is in all malls :P that is not a new thing ;)
Landmark is good.
Nothing comes close to CC....yet

QL survey from last year; http://www.qatarliving.com/node/179466
I think Landmark would score more votes now as it's improved lots over the last few months.
Landmark is my favourite regarding the shops. It is really quiet. But never enjoy eating there. I prefer Villagio for its food court.
Villagio it is...
without the flooding. ^_^

Me too. Landmark. I wish they had another home/furniture shop though.
i like LANDMARK for the simple yet most important reason... carpark. its easier to get it there compared to others.
i hate city centre ! especially going there after 12 noon. If I have to go there for any reason I try to get there just before 10am.
Parking is crappy in that mall.
I agree with Brit, but, if I had to pick one, it would be Landmark.
They have some shops with some reasonably priced clothes.
