Check the furniture shops in Al-Nijma area.

They have everything and are very cheap too.

I bought my daughter a new one (Made in Malasia) for 100QR

I also bought her a rotating chair (for kids) for 75QR

There are other places there that have better quality and more expensive stuff.

I think everybody should check Al-Nijma area before buying anything, but be careful about the quality of what you want to buy...

Can check with Baby shop or Toys R us. I bought a nice colourfull one from Babyshop which encourages little one to sit and do their work.

I was just in the bookstore at the Burger King roundabout last week - they have a number of very cute desks for kids. I think they'd be fine for a four-year old. . .in fact, I considered one for my 3.75 year old :)

Oh how I wish we had an Ikea around.

Funny enough, I went past a section at Carrefour (City Centre and Villagio) that has the kids furniture (a small supply) but its in those big primary type of colours.... they had a cabinet and a small desk. Was pretty cute actually.
