Stuck in an elevator with the smelly people?

heero_yuy2
By heero_yuy2

Surely at least one of you might've had an experience of riding an elevator with a mix of body odor when there were like 8 or 10 of you people inside who cannot tolerate being stuck along with them that the only hope you got was to get out of the lift as soon as possible.

We can guarantee that this is probably one of a kind experience for everyone who's ever been to the Middle East.

And I thought somebody who silently farts inside the elevator was intolerable.

U know what we did.. A new lady joined our department who used to stink like a sack of onions.. So one day when she was away for lunch.. We typed on a sheet of paper " YOU STINK" and kept it on her desk along with a a can or rexona deodrant spray and a roll on.. LOL

I notice that everyone has talked about soap and water and I certainly am a fan of both, but people need DEODORANT. That will take care of 90% of what this discussion is about.

I can't imagine why people can't look after their personal hygiene.. I have so many ladies working with me who stink really bad.. Not only that, there are so many ladies who are plain dirty.. They don't wax their arms and maybe not even legs but i can't say since i cant see their legs under their shalwars but so many of them wear half sleeve shirts and u can actually see hair on their arms an inch in legth atleast and jet black.. Most of them don't even thread or wax their upper lip.. They look like teenage boys who just started grown hair on their face.. They look so disgusting.. How can their husband tolerate them..

...when you reeeeeeeeally cant take the smell anymore, why dont you cough like mad!!(like u have some really bad lung disorder ) that way the people who stink will think you are MORE disgusting and probably get off a couple of floors earlier to get another turn till you are out of the way!! If u get good at it, you might end up having the elevator all to ureself in no time!!

men smell so good - sometimes oud, but mostly really nice perfumes. I have a couple of male Qatari friends and their perfume collections rival mine - much larger number and more expensive brands;-)

Sometimes the ladies will wear something too strong and then I get an instant headache...

my female boss likes to wear her outfit for many days in a row. one time she had on a blouse for 3 days straight. the worst thing is, her blouse looked liked the type you wear on a night out, black and shimmering. so for 3 straight days, she looked as if she had gone straight to the office after a hard night of partying. ewwwwww.....

This isn't related to the elevators, but we had a maid once who smelled really bad when she showed up at 8am. She cleaned the upstairs first, then came downstairs. I went upstairs after she was gone for the day and my bathroom REEKED of BO. It was horrible and stayed for 2 days. Needless to say we let her go.

Motherhood...The hardest job you'll ever love! : )

Common. Disgust is also all in the mind. If some people really cannot help the BO, then just detach from the smell and after a while, you won't notice it. I do it whenever I have to. No problem.

Awhile back in KSA, we have a workmate who smelled really bad and we hve to ride with him in the company bus everyday. So we suggested to him to take a bath in the morning and in the afternoon, that means twice a day. And what do you know, the bad smell went away. But every time he perspires the smell magically re-appear. At least he smells good in the morning. His an asian. :)

Yes one of the contributing factor is because of the food they eat. One time, my friends were so into eating their food (they were doing this for a week or so i think) that they smelled like onions eventhough they took their bath and brushed their teeth.

yes mj, one of the reasons is the food they eat.

i had an office mate once, he reported for work on a sunday and had a new shirt on, everybody complimented him because the color was also nice and he wore that shirt until wednesday!

maybe his favorite motto was: SAME SHIRT DIFFERENT DAY

Uhh, they usually forgot to remove the body odor first before applying the perfume...and that was a weird smell when it mixes...specially when you're inside that small elevator cabin with them.

But I'm not being racist. Just an experience only. Hope no harm may come to them after 'enforcers' may read it here.

i haven't heard from you for quite a while my friend. where have you been?

this afternoon i was stuck in an elevator with 4 rotten egg smelling guys. one of them was an officemate of mine and i notice he usually uses the same shirt for 3 days straight. from the smell of it, he hasn't been taking a bath for a week in my estimate.. i wish i could have told him to take a bath or something but i usually just try to neglect the fact that he stinks.

so which is better for you the silent fart of a guy or the smelly body odor?

Our sense of smell can influence mood, physical well-being, memory, emotions, sexual desire, our hormones, and our immune system.

As humans we can distinguish over 10,000 different and distinctive smells.

It is important to understand that throughout every day and night of our lives we smell a wide variety of odors without being aware of them at all.

Smell, taste and a myriad of receptors contribute to distinguishing flavor.

Your sense of smell is least acute in the morning; our ability to perceive odors increases as the day wears on.

A woman's sense of smell is keener than a man's.

Your nose can smell directionally, telling you where an odor originates.
