I was laid-off by my previous company last Feb 2009. Then I got a job last March 1 2009. My previous company gave me a release but my visa cannot be transfer by the new sponsor because I did'nt completed for one year. And now my previous company called me that they were going to cancel my visa and they send me back to country of origin just because according to them there is a new immigration law that I cant transfer my sponsorship if im not going to complete two years... Is it true that you must complete two years before you can transfer new sponsor? Not one year?

Unfortunately, this is true. A new sponsorship law was passed two weeks ago and now employees are required to stay for at least two years with each sponsor before they can transfer to another. The only solution is that you leave the country and return on a visa by your new employer. In this case, you have to pass through the complete procedures to include medical exam, fingerprints, etc…

... as far as I now... 10 months is enough. drop by in Immigration and do it on your self.

good luck
