If you want a day out at a lovely clean beach, go to Zikreet. It is safe to swim and nobody seems to mind swimming or dog walking. It is well worth the drive. Also, a little way up from that is the Christian Cemetary. It's a very interesting place to visit and is a little oasis of calm with lovely gardens. There is so much more to Qatar than Doha, I love exploring. I know some people get nosebleeds if they have to go further than the end of Salwa Road but it is well worth it.
no probs u swim in the sea in doha, the best one is behind inter cont draws good crowd on fridays....just waiting for the climate to become normal.....a good time to swim then.
I haven´t arrived to Qatar yet :P but I had some answers about this a few days ago. Of course you can have a swim....in private beaches...I have no clue about...public ones, but I guess there would not be a problem...
