Warning of fraudulent Online Shopping
Online Shopping offers for IPhones from
MERCHANDISE LIMITED
should be regarded with extreme caution.
My experience was such that I can only warn everybody to not use this fraudulent vendor.
Contact in my case was a certain Mr Garry Baily. After he advised shipment a certain Mr Wray Williams contacted me wanting me to pay 200USD for clearance of goods.
HM Revenue & Customs publishes their clearance procedures and also fraud warnings.
I paid but never received the merchandise so I can only hope that everybody who wants to contact this vendor in order to purchase whatever merchandise gets my message first before any money transaction.
Hey guys, i was lucky to came across this post, I've tried to search for any possible lead on this buyer before dishing out the payment and good thing it was not too late , i almost lost 900QR for a PS3 bundled with 4 games. Boy that was close.
The same contact Garry Baily.....Lesson learned!
the eagerness to acquire things at cheap will always lead to this kind of situation.........
this morning we went to Villagio, saw a guy that really tall. And my husband said that this guy reminding him of Tallg. I guess me and Abu saw the same guy ...
And another thing - Qatar Living Classifieds are not "online shopping". They're an online advertising board. You should always meet up with the seller in person, as advised in the guidelines.
Abu - no. Guess it was just another tall guy.
Or just wait till you can buy one legally here!
Did you Google it first?
it is a common sense ... as simple as that ...
That's why all classified pages carry the warnings;
DEAL LOCALLY WITH PEOPLE YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts.
and
Make Sure the Seller is in Qatar by checking for a local phone number and don't ever buy anything listed in $.
as well as a link to http://www.qatarliving.com/guidelines/avoidingscams
the advice but there are numerous warnings on QL about scams.
Like don't buy from anyone you cannot meet and don't consider buying anythin quoted in anything other than QR.
That must include any charges. The $ sign immediately rings warning bells in my head.
I too came across this advr here and was wondering 3G 8GB for $250 which sounded cheap when compared to the price on ebay. being suspicious i sent a email for some details and they didnt revert back so then i confirmed they are cheats. thanks for this caution Burgardt and hope no one falls into this trap.
this also holds good for few advrt for selling used cars for $1500. dont even try to contact them. happy and safe shopping.
