Floor polisher for marble floors

We have a floor polisher - one that looks like an upright vacuum cleaner but has the whirling brushes underneath. We had it in Buenos Aires for our wood floors and I'd like to use it on our marble floors to get them nice and shiny.

Does anyone know about these gadgets? Do I use the same brushes as I did for the wood floors? Do I need any type of "polish" to use with it?

It's a Philips, if it matters.
