Maybe that's why they don't make a big deal about their New Year days.

I think in Islam many even frown on birthday parties.

I just Realise that it was the Islamic New Year Yesterday. Why is the Islamic New Year not so big as the Christian New Year any Thoughts please??

Kuwaitis are lazy buggers. They also get Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) birthday as a holiday as well as many lesser know Islamic eids, feasts, festivals etc! I've also seen almost 2 weeks off for Eid! That was the only good part of working there :o(

Did you Google it first?

NOT A Holiday!

The official holidays are the two eids (dates vary every year), and national day (18 Dec).

Other than that only SOME companies with a large expat community also give Christmas and New Year.
