Hello everyone,

I would like to thank everyone for all their help to users on this forum..very much appreciated.

I wanted to know if it was worth moving to Doha based on the following information...

Salary range 6000-7000 QAR
Transportation allowance of 600 QAR approx.
no accomodation provided..

I am married with a kid

Thank you to everyone for your help...

P.S. Would this salary range allow me to save any money??

If you are not earning anything in your home country then come here dude.

You can initially come and live in a sharing room and try to look for a one bedroom flat in villa for 4000 and then also look for an oppurtunity for your wife here as ladies get jobs very easily then get your family here and then you can live happily. In worst case if you don't have any savings then send your family back and you can save....

You need to plan for all this. But basically 7000 QR is a good salary which you will not get in our home country.

Accomodation costs at least 8-9000 for a two bedroom apartment, which you are going to need if you are coming with family.

Food and entertainment is at least 3-4000.

And we didn't even talked about school costs yet.

You do the maths...

if you are planning of moving here in Doha it would be better if you will move just yourself and not with some family members. you can find some room sharing for just 500 QR (maybe 4 to 5 persons per room) but if you are planning of moving with a whole family better not. for your savings? maybe you can spare some 1,000 QR or 1,500 QR and you can send some to your family back home..maybe 2,000 QR i think..

Dude,

Within this salary limit, better don't because of Cost of Living in Doha is very high, especially if you searching house.................forget it.

Cheers

it will be zero saving.

you wont find a decent place to live in 6000 riyals.

its not a good idea to come here with the offer you have in hand.its miserable.transport allowance provided is nothing.what will you eat and what will you provide for your family?

not unless you like starving

and plan to live in a box on the street. Do a search on the cost of living here (bottom right hand side of your screen) That Salary is VERY LOW and rent is VERY HIGH so without accomodation allowance, you will be broke.
