Well I think there is no single democratic country in the world. When your media has gender, your media is busy in changing opinions of their people, you are being kept under surveillance by security agencies, your Internet searches, records are being recorded, etc etc. Under these circumstances if one country is conducting election or giving freedom of speech, is this democracy?

I can give u an example, well this is my thinking if anyone thinks different it is okay but I am using a so called freedom of expression :)

Lets take an example of the largest and the most successful democracy of the world, USA.

Lets suppose this whole world is one country and every country of this world is the people of that supposed country. Well, now who does rule this country? Obviously America. I think there is no doubt in it.

So now think, did we elect her? Did we vote her to capture any land, to station her warships in any sea, to control international finance, NO. How is she ruling the world? Everyone knows.

Now running or implementing democracy only in own country is not the democracy. In fact, there is nothing in democracy.

I am not against Americans. In fact I like them, their nature, their organized habits, I have learned lot from them but I am talking about their international policies for democracy.

Why I gave the example of USA because she is called the most successful democratic country.

I am from Pakistan and our leader was a dictator and he was a friend of USA. This is not claimed by me, it is on the record and on every platform American said him their friend. Now when one doesn't support democracy how will they think in democratic way? There are lot of other examples where dictators are being supported by USA.

Again, I will say that USA has a largest contribution in every type of research in the world. They gave lot of ideas, things to this world but here I am discussing her a democratic country.

No one can implement Democracy because by this u can't rule ur own country even.....

Nice topic..I believe that democracy has different meanings and the answer to your question would depend on your definition of democracy..

If you define democracy in terms of equal opportunities then I support...

but if you define democracy in terms of voting and elections..then I am against it as this system has proven its failure..to me at least..

One guy explained democracy as "No right no Wrong, No Moral or Immoral" its just about 51%. example, few people will think about gay marriage, then without thinking about whether its right or wrong, moral or immoral they will ran to the parliament and if they get 51 ...its legal.

i am realsomeone on this, democracy contradicts many of the teachings of islam, i remember hearing a quote from whinston churchill once 'democracy isn't a great system, it is just the best of all the ones we have tried so far.'

we should explain to the non-muslims and muslims alike what islam has to offer them not just spiritually, but also politically, economically, socially etc.
