Dear, here are fast tips for the new law of rental
- if you first contract with him is after the beginning of 2005 then he is not entitled to increase for 2 years from the date of the law.
- if your first contract is before 2005 then depending on the value of the rental...
if less than 2000 then he is entitled for 20% increase
if between 2000-5000 then he is entitled for 15%
if 5000-10000 then he is entitled for 10%
if above 10000 QR then he is entitled for 5 %...
these laws to protect people like your case , I think they open a special place for rental disagreement, you can check with them ( but I am not sure if they are functinal yet or not) they are new Al-Muntazah park in Al-Muntazah area..

There are so many empty apartments around and the rent is reasonable. Leave the place and save yourself the headache.

By law he can’t do that if you rented the house after 2005 or 2006. There is a committee that deals with such issues now.
