DRIVING AGE in qatar.. :)

So.. I was wondering I'm going to be seventeen soon, as well as taking driving lessons..

But..what is the legal age to drive in qatar...people tell me it is eighteen..yet i see kids driving cars..and my friend got her licence about 2 years ago when she was seventeen..so i'm REALLY confused..

can someone give me some facts?

eighteen......in hole world is a legal age:)but u r local so u can drive a car with out any difficulties

The legal age is 18, but if you want to try and get your liscence earlier you need to speak to one of the cheifs at madinat khalifa (at least thats where i went) and speak to him .. i got my liscence when i was 17 and im english.... it helps if you have reasons, e.g i said i needed it to work, help take my little sister to school etc etc

The legal age is 18, but you can take lessons and get a license at 17 with your parents' permission.

need not have a license if u have drive in the local traditional kit and drive a porche.

Based on your profile, I have seen that your local. As far as I know, Qataris get licenses easier even if they're under age. And ahmm, you're right, I have seen lots of underage drivers roaving around our neghbor and for that, I can say that yes, you can get your license. Just ask for your parents consent though.
