Job and Salary offer is it suitable??
By fraser6126 •
I have been offered a Senior Safety position 23500 QR per mth inclusive, including housing (Doha). Is this a reasonable package/salary to provide a comfortable lifestyle for two adults and two children ?? Also taking the average cost of living in to account how much should we as a family expect to save each month?? Your opinions and comments would be much appreciated.
You will notice a big spread of course in housing and automobile costs. What I have experienced is that apart from the enormous rents the prices are comparable to, or slightly lower, than the US and certainly less than Europe. Mobile phones and gas are a steal in Qatar. The grocery store doesn't give me sticker shock and my gym is a bargain. I don't have children, so tuition isn't an issue but that should be covered by the employer as should housing and transportation. Oh and health care is a bargain but if you're from Canada or the UK that's not been a problem for you.

Check This web site looks useful though there is no other way to compare and verify these figures.

Can anyone verify this informaton as how realistic it is?
I find a good rule of thumb is a competitive salary in your current country for the position PLUS 25% for overseas posting, plus all school fees, housing and transportation.

approx 43,000 pounds a year. So tax free with a villa it sounds in the right ball park.
I have been informed that the accomodation would be a villa.
what makes u satisfy then?that you are grateful to have one, what counts here is you are being paid, not with your position actually. many are higher than your position, but they are paid less.so be thankful enough
This post commands a salary of QR 100,000 + Car + Housing. nothing less.

Are you satisfied with the package ? That is what matters. But I find it a bit low for a senior Safety Position.
How much you will save each month depends on the lifestyle you got, if you need more than one Car etc.
The Housing you get, is it a villa or apartment ?
