hi! i'm not sure if they still give visit visa extension nowadays. family visa is good for only 6mos then after that either you apply for RP or exit the country then re-apply again. try to check out moi.gov.qa for further inquiries as i'm told that they have new regulations regarding visas. check out from your respective embassy too for some relevant info on this matter.

Girl, your BF is in the Gulf, and certain rules apply in this country. I think your question has already been answered to you by these good people loud and clear. No proper documentations for your kid, no visa to Qatar. That's it!

Dear

make it simple from the Government point of view any paper you want to process either you or your boyfriend both of you must have a marriage certificate a part of this he can't provide anything for you either the child in addition in case if you get a job here in qatar and you have RP also you can't get the child on your sponsor because there is no marriage certificate.

i don't want to block the whole issue in front of you but to be honest with you i think both of you should think about the certificate to facilitate the whole matter then if you want to continue it is up to you or you can divorce once you finish the paper process.

Regards,

for your boyfriend to apply for a visa for your child he would be asked to submit a marriage certificate aside from birth certificate and passport copy of the child. in case you would be able to bring your child here under a visit visa then applying for RP later would also require a marriage cert...

Okay Sir Jihad. We will still try. However, should it only be visit visa, they would still require a marriage certificate?

Dear Inquirer,

for your information what you are seeking for is not applicable here in Qatar, because during the processing of the paper it will require the marriage certificate which in your case is not provided.

Hence let's try if your boyfriend is here to apply for the sake of not living and the question "what m i going to lose" in your back of your mind. In addition you, your boyfriend and the lovely angel can live here in Qatar regardless the marriage certificate in case if you manage the sponsorship.

i hope i helped you by the above answer.

wish all the luck

regards,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, thats what I also presumed that the child can never be illegitimate because i stated the name of his father on his birth certificate. Its just that we are not yet married. Soon we will get there. What is important is for us to be with our baby where we are both based.

Thanks for your positive reply again.

If he is not born in Qatar, but he acknowledges on the birth certificate that he is the father, then i don't see any reason why the child can't be under the father's sponsorship? Illegitimacy is not entertained, that's a fact. But where in the birth certificate says that the child is illegitimate?

I don't see any problem. If the child is born in Qatar, then, that's another problem. Proceed with the application. It wouldn't hurt your BF to apply. Declare that he is applying for his child's sponsorship.

Thank you timtan and supernurse for your positive replies.

To others who wish me to marry the father of the child, we cannot yet. The baby was born not in Qatar but were planning to bring it in Qatar because thats where my boyfriend found a job. And thats where I might find too.

Can the baby be under visit visa (family)?

NOT POSSIBLE the way you like it in Qatar. It is possible though if you and your boy friend get married in either of your home countries, then get the records straight for your child.

After this, he could apply for a Family Visa to the Ministry of Interior and if he is found to be eligible subject to meeting their criteria, then he would be able to sponsor both of you hopefully!

wow! how did you manage that? I'm presuming you live in Qatar?? I'm not sure a child can be sponsored out of wedlock......ignore the ignorant comments of others!

come on guys.......... enter in legitimate and proper wedlock........ and all things would be ok by then! even the future of kid would be secured.

FYI....... Untill and unless u r not in wedlock and the legitimacy of child is not proved to the best of my knowledge u cant' sponsor the kid in question!

Thanks
