speaking of cars... can you please give your feedback (good or bad) on chevy lumina?

i personally think that this car offers a good value for money because you can get a car that's big with V6 engine and almost twice the power as the comparable camry, altima or accord. price is also just the same as the three japs cars, you think it's a good buy??

i think the good points outweigh the negative one huh? thanks for the inputs, it really pushed me more to get one, probably the LS.

and yes sure for those who think that this is purely american, they're quite wrong. Lumina is made in australia by Holden and sold as holden commodore in their country. since holden is under GM of america, they rebadged it to Lumina when selling it to GCC. Lumina is the same as commodore that is used in V8 supercars race in australia against the perrenial competitor ford falcon. this race can be seen on gear one channel.

btw for those who think that camry is purely japs, again they're wrong. camry is made in australia too! not in japan! mitsu galant and nissan altima are made in USA, again not from japan! the only japs misize car is accord!

The Lumina is a superb car - built in Australia and imported by Jaidah in Qatar. Parts are plentiful and service is good. The ride is good, rattles are minimal and there is plenty of power available for getting you out of problems in roundabouts.

The only thing I disliked about mine was that the door springs were too efficient - often clamping my legs as i got in or out of the car. Otherwise - a fine vehicle at a good price.

I had used a Lumina for 4 years (2004-2008). I drove more than 70,000km with it. No maintenance other than usual servicing. In terms of safety, comfort and driving pleasure it’s better than Camry/Accord/Azera. The acceleration and shifting is incomparable. You don’t need to buy an SS. Qatar roads just can't withstand it!

But I don’t like the body architecture of the new one -2007 & 2008. 1999 and 2003 models were cuter. If you are a rough driver, go for it. Doesn’t matter how you treat it, it never complains.

Good luck.

WELL MY FRIEND THE CAR IS A LOVELY EXPERIENCE TOO GOOD ON SAFETY,LUXURY AND POWER REAL GOOD CAR FOR VALUE BUT ONLY PROBLEM IS ITS RESALE VALUE AND SPARE PARTS WHICH ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE AND EXPENSIVE BUT THE ENGINE WITH GOOD CARE CAN STAND 20 YEARS

its American. Nothing more needs to be said. Who and what is this guy saying it is Australian??? Avoid American cars like the plague. They fall in value faster than you can say chevrolet and all come with a secret self-destruct button that is activated the day the car hits 4 years old. After that 4th year, watch out - transmission, A/C compressor, radiator, engine gaskets, squeaks, rattles . It will all blow up in your face at once.

It is a good Car, Made in Australia. Resale value is good as well, not as good as Toyota, but reasonable. And the Car is much more fun to drive than Japanese Cars.
